When we describe the larvae or caterpillars of a particular species of butterfly as gregarious, in this case Heliconius doris, this is what we mean. You can see many larvae lined up "normal" to the leaf edge and side-by-side eating voraciously!
I sped this up to 5x normal speed so you could see how crazy it is on this leaf surface.
