My sister asked me if I had any videos on neck pain for a friend of hers. So this is that video. The basic idea is to stretch the neck by bending it forwards, backwards, left and right and also twisting it. But also to some simple shoulder exercises, in particular, moving and controlling the scapula or shoulder blades and also to work on the ribcage. All of these can have an affect on the neck, and possibly on neck pain.
With all of these exercises, the instructions I focus on giving are ones that help you to activate relevant muscles and to feel those muscles activate and also to adjust activation in much the same way a musician "tunes" an instrument.
