cozy snow day routine ❄️ productive slow living vlog

Описание: A big winter storm hit my area this weekend and I was forced to stay home. Instead of going stir crazy, I leaned into my cozy hobbies, caught up on some reading, took a warm bath cooked some comfort meals. The snowy weather forced me to slow down and find my 'hygge' in the things I enjoyed inside the house. This is just a day in my life during a winter snow day 🩵

crust:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup butter it needs to be good butter that is in a block not a tub
1/2 cup butter milk (cold)
2 tbsp water (cold)
1/2 tsp salt

mix the salt and flour. chop up the butter and mash into the flour. I use a rolling pin to make sure all the butter is incorporated. Freeze the flour and butter mixture for 30 minutes. take the flour mixture out of the freezer and add the buttermilk and water. the mixture will be a bit crumbly and wet - separate it into two portions and place them in some plastic wrap. I flatten it while covered in the plastic wrap till it's flattened and no longer crumbly. set the separate two into the fridge to chill for 15 minutes or until use. I make the same recipe for sweet pies as well because it's very flaky and buttery. its best to not add the filling when its too hot or the butter will melt.

pie filling:
chicken breast
1 medium onion
3 cloves garlic
fresh or frozen veggies ( I used frozen since it was quicker)
chicken broth
