Hebron /Al Khalil , my last visit to this most divided city and decided to go walk and meet the locals, I was invited into a well known local who lives between H1 and H2 , hi windows are welded shut so they cant look out onto the jewish settlement. i asked if he wanted tgis on you tube and he was 100% fine with it. its crazy seeing all those shops with doors welded shut also.
i went to see Badir in his shop as he wanted me to see what happens every saturday when the jewish from H2 get their weekly escorted tour of the old city, you can see some of he news clips he played to me of himself in the news, the IOF burned his shop down one time , he leaves a small corner of his shop with burnt itemes from the fire as a reminder, he has done many interviews for various media, he and his father and grandfather used to go to scool in a building thats now on the occupied H2 of he city... He remains defiant and will never close his shop , although many have sadly. i really was a bit nervous about hiding my carmera ish, but Badir was telling me i should, as he wants the world to see what happens and he is very outspoken about the occupation of his city, its not illegal to hide a camera in public areas, the area is surrounded by surveillence cameras , as in the most ive seen anywhere in my life.... but as always the locals are so friendly and kind...
