Описание: Yesterday’s jam on the AKAI S1000 was rather chaotic, so I wanted to do something with a proper melody and more of a lush, dreamy vibe which I like. I finally figured out how to build my own programs on the S1000, which are basically collections of samples assigned to different keygroups. It was quite popular in the 80’s to layer a few samples on top of each other and build sounds additively. On this track, I’ve built some drum, bass, and synth sounds out of multiple layers triggered by the same key. And thanks to the multi-outs on the S1000, I’m able to send samples to different channels to be processed separately through 3 different reverbs. This thing was practically a studio in a box in 1988. All you needed was a MIDI controller, a mixer, and an effects processor, and you could sequence 16 tracks at once. But the editing is quite laborious. I enjoy it though, because I’m a massive nerd.
