A German man has detailed how in 2007 he felt sick when the prime suspect in Madeleine McCann's disappearance revealed that she "didn't scream" during their conversation about the toddler's mysterious vanishing.
The man known as Helge B sat for an interview with German paper Blid where he claimed he informed police about Christian B in 2008 but was ignored until 2017 when he contacted Scotland Yard again.
The witness said he was “speechless” when he found disturbing videos on Christian B’s camera.
"That's when I knew what kind of guy he was,” he said.
Helge B’s testimony about seeing the videos was used in 2018 to help convict Christian B of pensioner rape.
“We then saw each other in court in 2019. This whole situation took a toll on me. When I saw him, I thought, He's a pig.”
