RS21 Sailboat North American Fleet Racing Debut - San Diego NOODs

Описание: 6 brand new RS21 sailboats were made available for the 2019 San Diego NOODs. 4 Days of sailing and racing in beautiful San Diego.

As the only amateur weekend sailors in the bunch we had no issues learning this new, modern sport boat. The boat, controls and built in torquedo motor are all intuitive and well laid out. As a crew we were able to spend more time sailing and less time frustrated. The RS 21 brought us back to the fundamentals and joy of sailing while offering enough control options to reward practice and tuning. The only downside to our weekend was having to turn in the boat at the end of racing. We lost every race to some really fantastic racers and pros in the other 5 boats and it was the most fun we've ever had in last place.

The boats were all equipped with RaceGeek sail computers which were intuitive without training and we were never lacking for useful data, both during and post racing.

RS Sailing, West Coast Sailing and Sail 22 had representatives on site and everyone was upbeat and encouraging. All the crews and pros were approachable and helpful which can't be said for every boat class out there. I hope the good vibes continue.
