Day 9 of learning how to draw ✏️ Today I practiced cubes in 2-point perspective. I used the Clip Studio Paint perspective ruler above the horizon line, but went 100% freehand below the horizon line to test my accuracy.
Mistakes I noticed during practice:
1) Freehand lines (bottom) wobble compared to the ruler guides (top)
2) My perspective convergence drifts off the vanishing points
3) Vertical lines aren't perfectly straight in the freehand section
4) The freehand cubes lack the sharp structure of the ruler version
Comparing the ruler-assisted cubes to my freehand attempts helps train my eye to see true perspective. Sharing this to track progress and stay consistent with fundamentals.
