In #Bengaluru, #BJP MLA #Munirathna from #RRNagar has been booked in two separate cases involving death threats and caste-based abuse, according to the #Vyalikaval Police Station. The FIRs were lodged after contractor #Chaluvaraju filed a complaint accusing Munirathna of threatening his life and using caste-based slurs.
The first case alleges that Munirathna, along with three others—Vijay Kumar (assistant), Abhishek (security), and Vasanth Kumar—issued death threats to Chaluvaraju. The complaint further states that on Sept. 9, Munirathna demanded ₹20 lakh and threatened to kill Chaluvaraju in a manner similar to a previous incident involving #Renukaswamy if the demand was not met.
Chaluvaraju also approached Bengaluru Police Commissioner #BDayanand, requesting protection. Police are reportedly preparing to serve a notice to Munirathna in connection with the cases.
Both FIRs have been registered under charges of issuing threats and committing caste-based atrocities.
