Описание: Truth or fiction? If a recording of crickets chirping is slowed down enough, it sounds like a chorus of angelic voices. You've all probably heard the ethereal and enchanting recording by composer Jim Wilson which is purportedly just the sound of crickets chirping, slowed down several orders of magnitude. It's amazing. But it's also circumspect, right? I mean, could that really true? So, I had to know for myself, and I downloaded some recordings of crickets and played around in Audacity for about 10 minutes and came up with my own rendition. Listen to Jim's excellent work first (http://bit.ly/1gzlZp7), if you haven't already, and then listen to my cheap knockoff (in this video). I can attest that mine consists of nothing but a recording of crickets, but I will say that the track required a bit more sound mixing magic than simply slowing it down. Curious?
