We show a lot of letterpress printing videos, but we don’t show much of the cleaning process. In this video, Howard demonstrates how we clean the 10x15 Chandler & Price jobbing press after a press run. We use 1K kerosene as a solvent to clean the ink off of the rollers, ink disk, and if any ink got on the rest of the printing press.
This was after a press run where Howard printed 500 handouts to get ready for the school year. These handouts are given as part of our print shop presentation for school groups.
