Описание: Since 1970, over 60% of grassland birds have been lost due to habitat destruction and only 1% of restorable grasslands remain in Arkansas. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is working to conserve and protect these species and their habitats. AGFC uses The Arkansas Wildlife Action Plan, a strategic blueprint aimed at conserving over 520 of the state's most at-risk species, as its guide. By focusing on finding the remaining 1% of restorable grasslands across the state, recreating functional grassland ecosystems, using prescribed fire, and selective herbicide use, we can help restore vital habitat for species across the state.
