Hola, amigos! 🇲🇽 Today, this little British family is diving into authentic Mexican food for the very first time… and we’re making QUESADILLAS from scratch! 🧀🌮

We’ve had tacos, enchiladas, and even homemade guacamole — but quesadillas are brand new to us. With gooey melted cheese, fresh salsa, creamy guacamole, and sour cream on the side, this is one of the most iconic Mexican comfort foods. Will we love it? Or will it be a cheesy disaster? 🌮 What Are Quesadillas?

Quesadillas are a Mexican classic: flour or corn tortillas filled with cheese, folded, and cooked until crisp outside and melty inside. Traditionally paired with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, they’re enjoyed everywhere from street stalls to family kitchens. Variations include chicken quesadillas, beef quesadillas, and veggie-packed versions.

🍴 Recipe (Cheese Quesadillas with Salsa & Guacamole)

Ingredients:

Flour tortillas
Authentic Mexican cheese (or cheddar/mozzarella blend)
Onion & green pepper
Salsa fresca (tomato, onion, chili, cilantro, lime)
Guacamole (avocado, garlic, lime, tomato, onion)
Sour cream

Method:

Mash avocado with lime, garlic, tomato & onion to make guacamole.
Blend tomato, onion, chili, garlic, and cilantro for fresh salsa.
Heat butter in skillet, place tortilla, add cheese + fillings, fold.
Cook until golden & cheese melts.
Serve hot with salsa, guac, and sour cream.
