In this video, I share my experience watching H Is for Hawk ahead of its release and participating in a Zoom interview with the creators. Based on the beloved memoir, H Is for Hawk stars Claire Foy as Helen, a woman navigating grief after the sudden death of her father (Brendan Gleeson) by turning to the ancient art of falconry. As she trains a wild goshawk named Mabel, Helen begins a quiet, powerful journey of healing and emotional reckoning.

I talk about what it was like to attend the at-home screening, what stood out to me in the interview, and why this film left such a deep impression on me. H Is for Hawk is a beautiful, reflective film about nature, loss, and resilience, and I truly think it’s one to experience on the big screen.
