Police have arrested three accused for writing Khalistani slogans in Sangrur district. The accused, a resident of Hamidi in Barnala, who is addicted to alcohol, wrote the slogans along with his brother-in-law and his son. The three had written the slogans at the behest of the Khalistani militant group Sikhs for Justice, in return for which they received money from abroad. The three had gone from Sangrur to Karnal in Haryana and wrote Khalistani slogans there as well.Sangrur SSP Mandeep Sidhu said some Khalistani slogans were written in Sangrur on June 19 and June 26. It was written in a religious place and some other places. The banned organization Sikhs for Justice claimed responsibility. Its purpose was to create chaos in the society and to create tension in the community.
SSP Sidhu said that SFJ had taken responsibility for this by releasing the video. Resham Singh, his brother-in-law Kulwinder Singh and son Manpreet Singh were involved in the case. Resham Singh has been working as a security guard at Elante Mall and other malls in Chandigarh.
