PM Modi Strengthens India-Seychelles Ties | Hands Over Patrol Vessel to Coast Guard

Описание: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed that the friendship between India and Seychelles is strong, enduring, and built on mutual trust. During his official visit, PM Modi attended a state banquet hosted by Seychelles President Patrick Herminie, accompanied by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

As part of efforts to strengthen maritime security cooperation, PM Modi handed over a Made-in-India fast patrol vessel to the Seychelles Coast Guard. India also gifted six ambulances, ten utility vehicles, and five laser radial boats, reinforcing bilateral cooperation in defence and security.

Earlier, PM Modi visited the Seychelles National Botanical Garden with President Herminie and interacted with the famous giant tortoise Jonathan, recognized as one of the world's oldest living animals. The visit highlighted the growing strategic partnership and longstanding friendship between the two nations.
