“What is Home” a spec commercial made to sell to Airbnb originally and then retargeted to sell to orphanages (then sadly ended up being sold to no one lol).
In the commercial we follow a young boy on his journey to discover what the meaning of “home” is. Throughout his travels he meets people from all walks of life who have their own version of what home is to them. We end the story out with the young boy sitting with is adopted dad. His dad tells him that home, will always live within him.

This story derives from “Home” a concept that can be so different to each of us. But yet on the same coin, so similar.

Directors notes:
This has been a love hate project for me without a doubt. As many of you know, “spec” means you are shooting with a 0 dollar budget. Going into this project we had plans to sell it to orphanages afterwards. Even though that didn’t happen I’m still so happy with how it turned out. Of course there will ALWAYS be something I could do better or differently. Nevertheless I’m so thankful for all the help we received with this project. The actors we worked with have tremendous talent and I hope that sometime soon I do get to work with them again. I do have to say hats off to Charles, our star in the spot. Working with Charles was a dream, always down for the adventure, always wanting to help.
