Hello everyone!
Bad Homburg is a spa town in Germany, located in the state of Hesse.
Until the mid-19th century, Homburg served as the residence of the rulers of the Landgraviate of Hesse-Homburg. It received the status of a resort in 1912.

The first mention of the city dates back to 1180, and the time of the first settlement in this area is known as 892.
Homburg acquired the status of a city and a fair in 1330.
In the mid-19th century, the city became an international resort, visited by royalty, artists and musicians from all over the world.

Our walk around Bad Homburg today will take us along the central street Louisenstrasse.
Louisenstrasse is a shopping street with many boutiques, restaurants, shops and cafes.
The street is lined with stunning buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Walking here, we can admire beautiful balconies, sculptural decorations, fountains.

On the ground floors of the buildings there are bakeries and cafes, shopping arcades and numerous shops.
During our walk we could observe the very beautiful building of the Old Pharmacy ENGEL, which is decorated with skillful carvings - a decorative work of the architect Louis Jacobi.

Saturday is a great day for rest. And we see the public strolling quietly, relaxing restaurant visitors, comfortably seated at tables in the open air.
We will finish our walk in the Kurhaus area.
