Описание: #varkala was a beauty we didn't expect we will love so much. This is how we spent a day in Varkala exploring beaches, cliff market, cafes & even a fort.

But as they say, unexpected gifts are always the best.

We started our exploration the in the morning and the first stop on our list was Anjuthengu Fort. The fort holds great important meaning to Indian history so we didn't want to miss that. Near the fort, the lighthouse was located as well. Both of them are must-visit If you are in for a day in Varkala. Just a recommendation, if you are visiting Kerala in Monsoon, do carry your umbrella with you always or else you will end up like us, totally drenched in rain that we have to drive back and change again just like we had to ;-)

Varkala North cliff is a rare spot in India where you find a cliff long enough to explore, with markets and everything, near the beach, so we were so excited about that. One thing that stood out in a very pleasant way was the wall art around the city. The paintings set a great vibe and if you are a pictureholic then they make a really good background
