Описание: In this video, I compare the MacBook Air M2 (15.3”) and a ThinkPad P1 Gen 3 (15.6”) from a real-world perspective — not benchmarks or spec sheets.

I spent around $1,800 on the 2023 MacBook Air in 2024 and only $378 on the refurbished 2020 ThinkPad in 2025, so this isn’t a “fair” comparison on paper — but that’s the point.

Most of this video focuses on:
• Speaker quality and everyday audio experience
• Repairability and long-term ownership
• Value for money and real-world usability

I also talk about why I’m actively trying to step away from the Apple ecosystem, and how repairability (or lack of it) changes how I think about laptops long-term. You’ll notice my iFixit toolkit in the background — that’s intentional, because repairability matters to me.

I share my personal experience and opinions as a USMC veteran and computer engineering student, including my thoughts on:

• Why many degrees don’t lead to real job outcomes
• When certificates, licenses, or an associate degree may make more sense

I also explain why I plan to give the ThinkPad P1 Gen 3 to my mom, and why a refurbished, repairable laptop can sometimes be a better choice than a brand-new premium one.
