R.I.P! Uplifting Tour at St. Elisabeth Hospital Velbert-Neviges, Germany

The 1958 elevator without inner doors is one of the very few examples of where I broke the rules and used my elevator keys without being allowed to do so. I fact, I was strictly refused to ride or documentate the 1958 bedsize elevator here. I have had a discussion with the local management of this hospital. There were aware that their building and classic elevator were about to be removed. Yet they didnt care about their uplifting heritage and decided to refuse anyone who would have liked to take pictures or even ride the classic elevators here, especially the 1958 classic one. Reasons they told me? "We have the right here so we do or refuse as we want to." They have the right to, that is true - and in this case - quite unfortunate. The head office of this hospital in Cologne that still exists to this day was actually fine with that and liked the idea of heritage elevator photography but the local management in Velbert did not. However, thanks to my keys, I managed to overcome this and I dont feel bad to confess to that now as around 10 years have gone past and the building has been knocked down. However, I don't think I would do the same nowadays in the 2020s. Still don't regret that the pictures now exist - yes, they are in a shockingly bad quality but they exist - this is how I managed to preserve pictures of this elevator for the future.
