Описание: This is a very early Corvette C1 convertible. It was hand-built in the C1’s first production year in 1954 in St Louis. Because of disappointing sales, nearly a third of the 3,640 built went unsold. This example was stored away for some 17 years and was bought by its last owner in 1990. 2001 saw the completion of the frame-off restoration. Since then the C1 has only travelled some 100 miles partaking successfully in various concourses and events. After 30 years the last owner parted from his C1. The fine bodywork is nice and straight. The underbody is similarly in good and absolute rust-free condition. The gorgeous interior trim is as good as new. The paintwork, although not perfect, is good. The chrome decorative strips are particularly nice. It has the original ‘Polo White’ finish in combination with a red interior and beige soft-top with inset windows. The C1 comes with a ‘Blue Flame’ straight six, three ‘Carter’ carburettor engine with a Powerglide transmission. Like the interior red trim, the ‘Blue Flame engine was the one and only option available at the time.
