Описание: For the 81st Arnhem Anniversary, we are releasing our Walking the Ground: Operation Market Garden series as three long-form videos. Part 1 focused on the actions of the US 82nd Airborne and British forces during Operation Market Garden, exploring the crucial WWII battles south of Arnhem and in the town of Nijmegen.

We follow their objectives to secure vital river crossings at Grave, Heumen, and Nijmegen, before examining the battle for the town itself. What went wrong? Should James Gavin, Commander of the 82nd Airborne, have been listened to by his superiors? What was the British involvement? These questions and more are explored — all while walking the ground where the events actually took place.

This episode also includes moments filmed at the 80th Anniversary Weekend in 2024, such as riding a Sherman tank with the XXX Corps reenactment and the herioc Waal River crossing -- made famous by Robert Redford in A Bridge Too Far.
