I'm fully aware that matters of the heart have a mind of their own. All logic seems to go out the window when we have a new crush or love interest; but if history has taught us anything. its that we must not allow the mind-fog to create a shadow over the common sense, the obvious, the intuition.
Being single and having no prospects can lead to desperation which can lead to ignoring red flags; red flags that will eventually make their way back around. Desperation also attracts people who are looking to hurt others since they know you're more likely to put up with their BS. Desperation is noticeable and it attracts the wrong kind of people.
Listen to your body when it tells you that you're in a situation you shouldn't be. Stop making excuses. Stop giving the benefit of the doubt. Stop overlooking the red flags then wondering why things aren't working out.
