Is there such a thing as too much maneuverability? Don't be silly of course not! As Jeb often says being in control is boring, flying out of control is where the fun stuff happens. In that sense the Viper is a winner with test pilots reporting to be in control of the aircraft at least 16% of the time!

I don't like to blow my own trumpet but other then being a little skittish on its landing gear I really can't fault this design. The maneuverability is to die for (literally in Jebs case), stability is rock solid, it looks absolutely gorgeous and is able to draw every last joule of performance from its engine. High altitude performance is superb too, with a ceiling of just over 18,000m at Mach 1.9 or 25,000m at Mach 2.6 using the afterburner. At these heights the engine is burning mere drops of fuel allowing for x6 circumnavigations of Kerbin and a flight time of over 5hrs. The maximum speed is limited by the engine, not the air-frame and will be need to limited in some cases to avoid over-speeding or melting the engine!

All of the sequences in this video were filmed with SAS disabled. I did also use the cheat menu disable heat damage while filming the high speed shot at Kerbin's southern pole as the engine kept overheating and exploding!
