Hard Week Off-Grid: The One Where Everything Goes Wrong

Описание: This week on the off-grid homestead... we couldn't catch a break.
What started with our heat going out on the coldest night of the year quickly turned into our daily driver van breaking down while Ashley was on her way to work. With our other vehicle already out of service, we were suddenly stuck and reminded how quickly delayed maintenance can turn into big problems when you live this far off the beaten path.
Money is tight, progress on the homestead had to slow down, we found ourselves under the GX470 making repairs that simply couldn't wait any longer.
It's not the glamorous side of off-grid living, but it's the real side, the part where you do what you have to do so you can keep chasing the bigger dream.
A huge thank you to our friend Steve for bringing us what he called an "off-grid desert care package" with gear oil and other supplies that helped us get through this week. And a big thank you to Bec, Ashley's coworker, for stepping up when the van broke down and making sure Ashley got home safely. That kind of kindness means everything out here.
Thanks for sticking with us through the slow weeks, the messy weeks, and the real life that happens in between the builds.
