Battle for Dream Island is a web-series created by jacknjellify on YouTube. The web series features anthropomorphic objects competing in a series of contests for a prize. After each contest, the viewers are invited to vote for or against a character being eliminated the next episode.

This season involves twenty-two inanimate objects (twelve veterans, ten newbies) that the viewers voted to compete for Dream Island, which, despite declaring a winner last season, still does not have an owner. The contestants are divided into two teams, being "Team No-Name" and "W.O.A.H. Bunch". before a contest, players may switch teams if they want to. Contests are chosen by spinning a wheel, and the winning team gets immunity, while the losing team is up for elimination—the viewers vote by rating (liking/disliking) contestants' videos. The contestant with the most likes on their video can spin a wheel and receive a prize depending on when the wheel stops, while the contestant who has the most dislikes on their video is eliminated and sent to the Tiny Loser Chamber, which is itself located in the Locker of Losers. However, when TV was flung there, he stole the key to its lock and the current elimination place is the Weak Trembling Fortress.

Battle for BFDI and Battle for BFB, both abbreviated as BFB, make up the fourth season of the Battle for Dream Island series. BFB is the successor to the third season IDFB. It premiered on November 3, 2017 at 6:48:40 PM PST (GMT-8), with the release of "Getting Teardrop to Talk", and concluded on April 9, 2021 at 1:59:12 PM PST (GMT-8), with the release of "Chapter Complete".

A fifth season, known as Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two, aired simultaneously. It was announced to premiere on January 9, 2021, but due to bugs with the intro,[citation needed] it premiered on January 10, 2021. A tenative sixth season following The Power of Two has been mentioned, but is unconfirmed and currently only speculative.

The prize used to be a BFDI, but in "The Escape from Four", Four upgraded it to a BFB to keep contestants competing. In "X Marks the Spot", he added the original prize (a BFDI) back to the prize pool, making BFB the first season to have two prizes.

Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two (BFDI:TPOT), BFDI: The Power of Two[3], or simply The Power of Two (TPOT), is the fifth season of the Battle for Dream Island series, with its first 2 episodes directed by Satomi Hinatsu and Pokey and later episodes directed by Sam Thornbury, Cary Huang and Michael Huang.

The season is hosted by Two and was announced in "The Escape from Four". The Power of Two consists of 40 contestants from the original Battle for BFDI, plus two recommended characters (Winner and Price Tag), two EXITors (Pencil and Liy) and Teardrop. The other 14 contestants that didn't switch continued to battle in Battle for BFB. The prize is Two's power.
