This episode has two stories about different ways violence on the street is assisted by the sales of weapons and ammunition on the black market.
A former German soldier who supplied London’s underworld with thousands of rounds of ammunition is facing jail after one of the 'Met Police's largest-ever busts'.

Manfred Kurz, 61, moved to the United Kingdom in 2004 having served in the Deutsches Heer.

He had a full firearms licence and was able to pass through border controls with live bullets.

His niece Sian Alexandra Miller, 25, began selling the ammunition to contacts throughout the country, police said.

On 5 February 2018, Miller’s south London home was raided, and officers found 1,800 rounds of ammunition of varying calibers, two pistols and canisters of CS spray.

Three men, one woman and a teenager pleaded guilty to knife offences after an investigation into weapons being sold on social media, led by the Met’s Violent Crime Taskforce.

Omar Truman, 27, (15.03.94), of Abbey Orchard Street, Westminster, pleaded guilty to possession of 58 pointed/bladed articles on Monday, 13 September at Snaresbrook Crown Court where he was sentenced to 19 months’ imprisonment.

Fred Truman, 61, (23.12.59), of Abbey Orchard Street, Westminster, pleaded guilty to possession of 58 pointed/bladed articles on Monday, 13 September at Snaresbrook Crown Court where he was sentenced to 14 months’ imprisonment.
