As most of you know I'm deployed at the moment so when I have time to myself I usually am trying some more stuff out with this game. With that being said some of this is older tech that I had before I left but never actually decided to record. Never thought I'd actually record a video mostly of resets either. After I left I saw that people didn't know you could DHC into UWT from Doom so I had to add that as well.
Spiderman Resets
Off a ground bounce Spiderman can use his instant overhead (IOH) L to reset the opponent in longer combos. By doing this no matter which way the opponent techs Spiderman is right in their path when they become neutral again. This allows Spidey to instantly grab them and continue from there. By throwing out a meaty H on the other hand if the opponent techs forward or neutral they have to block almost as soon as when they input the tech. It's not unblockable just harder to block since Spidey is in their path regardless and the jH lingers there.
In the corner off a ground bounce again, you can time an attack that doesn't raise the opponent into the air to hit on the later part of the bounce causing the opponent to roll. THIS IS STILL A SOFT KNOCKDOWN AND CAN BE TECHED. If they tech neutral the opponent will roll slightly forward bringing them out the corner. If they roll back they are still in the corner so using a normal to force the tech plus an assist that will cover you while you zip for the crossup hi/low setup gives you something to work with. There are assist that also stop the forward tech as well that will still give you time to confirm the hit or lock them down.
Storm Resets
Though not as slippery as Spidey's resets these were just a few I thought I'd show. Storm's damage output is subpar and her meter build is just as bad and requires an assist to gain the extra meter and allow her to continue where she normally would end the combo.
After a late lightning sphere Storm can use a falling jL to reset the opponent. Midscreen she can air dash up forwards to catch neutral and back techs with a throw but unfortunately forward tech escapes her. She can catch them by dashing straight up but it requires you to know where your opponent will tech first. In the corner on the other hand an air dash straight up can solve all three.
She can also go for counters against those pressing buttons during the reset. Again the same rules apply as with the throw on the dashes but dashing in with the L will allow her to combo into her fly loop. Doing any special at the end of the fly loop will use up all of Storm's air specials thus preventing her from cancelling into the super so keep that in mind. This is also something to remember as you will fall straight to the ground after whatever special since you also used up all her air mobility options as well.
