Spring is my favorite time on year to stalk fish over the many large expanses of shallow mud flats here in North Queensland. Water temps are rising and fish are coming out of their winter slumber to feed much more aggressively... making it the perfect time to get out on the water.
Part 2 looks at simple tips, tricks and strategies to help you catch more mangrove jack when fishing shallow flats. We look at when, where and how to target mangrove jack over the flats, including rigging tips and fishing one of my favourite soft plastic lures... the Holt Swim Prawn. And as in Part 1 (barramundi), we have a great variety of fishing action... including a few more barramundi in amongst the mangrove jack!
