When I try doing Theda Bara makeup tutorials, the makeup never looks the same on me because I don't have her triangular face shape. Attempting a video showing how she transformed her face, but using mine, would have been impossible.
Instead I am showing how she (and her stylists) reshaped her face to make her the "vamp" of the 1910s.
I tried to find a good match to show how the faces in both pictures are the same (even I didn't believe it was her when I first saw the 1906 picture!) but nonetheless there's a few spots that don't line up quite right. I think one of the pictures is flipped (I don't know which) causing the asymmetries of her face to fall mirrored in the two shots. She also has a somewhat different facial expression between pictures that makes her eyes and eyebrows difficult to perfectly align.
