The Bridge to Nowhere is an arch bridge that was built in 1936 north of Azusa, California in the San Gabriel Mountains. It spans the East Fork of the San Gabriel River and was meant to be part of a road connecting the San Gabriel Valley with Wrightwood.
The bridge is only accessible via a 11-mile round-trip hike. On 08/18/18 a friend and I cleared it in about 7 hours. We took a little detour which cost us time but well worth it. There are several stream crossings before the ascent to the level of the bridge. I would say this is about a mid level hike. There is no real elevated challenges and of you go early you will find parking and plenty of shade (before the sun is out).
