On December 6, there was held a meeting of National Security Advisors of India and five Central Asian countries in Delhi. The meeting was hosted by India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. However, the ambassador of Turkmenistan was present in this meeting as a representative of Turkmenistan. The meeting was held in continuation of the 'first' virtual 'India-Central Asia Summit' held in the month of January this year. The countries, as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are jointly called Central Asian countries. Before the dissolution of 1991, all these countries were the part of Soviet Russia. However, there is no direct geographical boundary between India and these countries, but from the geopolitical point of view, the location of China in the west, Russia in the north, Afghanistan and Iran in the south, makes this region very important for India. Because of which India is constantly trying to strengthen relations with these countries. The recent meeting in New Delhi was also organized in this regard.
