About the Artist
For more than 25 years, the classical ensemble TRUMPETS IN CONCERT, founded by Leonhard Leeb, has been captivating audiences with extraordinary virtuosity and a distinctive sound. Performances at international festivals such as the Bregenz Festival, Carinthian Summer, the “Proms at St. Jude’s” in London, a concert tour in Canada, and a cultural guest performance in China (including the Deyang Music Festival at the Deyang Concert Hall) have earned the ensemble an outstanding international reputation. In 2024, they inaugurated the International Carinthian Summer Festival in the presence of Austrian Federal President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen. Another career highlight was the invitation by Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer, who asked them to accompany his inauguration ceremonies musically in 2004 and 2010.
Renowned classical labels such as NAXOS and ARS Production, as well as the BBC Online Magazine in London, have already honored the achievements of Trumpets in Concert. Their music regularly appears in the iTunes® charts: in November 2023, the album Requiem For My Friend reached #1 in Austria, while Imperial Fanfares (NAXOS) was listed in August 2025 at #91 in the iTunes® “Classical Album: Global” charts. In addition, their works have found their way into international film productions—for instance, as part of the soundtrack of the movie The Hustle (German title: Glam Girls – Hinreißend verdorben) starring Anne Hathaway.
