Don't spend your whole day with a chisel to make a shouldered dovetail - make it in just 5-10 minutes using your router!
This router jig allows you to make shouldered/housed tapered dovetail tenons that are ideal for timber frame floor joists. (It can also be used in other applications, that's just a common use for the housed dovetail.)
The longest tenon that can be made with this jig is 6" long and 2.25" wide at the top. This jig is designed with 3x stock in mind, but can be used on larger stock. For stock 2.5" or less in width, please use our 2x jig, instead. (https://appalachianwoodhome.etsy.com/...)

You have to use a bearing and 1.5" bit with these specifications in order for the jig to work.
