Our journey to #Dhondenling began early in the morning, around 6:30 a.m., as we set off from Bangalore. The drive through the Bangalore–Mandya route was refreshing, lined with misty roads and green stretches that made the morning feel magical.

Our first stop was the beautiful #Ramnakattemedini Dam — calm, quiet, and surrounded by scenic beauty. After spending a few peaceful moments there, we continued to Gundal Park, another lovely dam tucked amidst nature. It was the perfect place to unwind before heading towards our main destination — #Dhondenling.

By 1 p.m., we reached the #Dhondenling Guest House, checked in, and took some time to relax. Later in the evening, we took a walk around the local village, where the slow pace of life, smiling faces, and prayer flags fluttering in the breeze created such a serene atmosphere.

The next morning, after checking out, we explored the spiritual side of Dhondenling by visiting some magnificent monasteries — #Taksham Monastery, #Dzogchen Monastery, Tana #Monastery, and Ripa
Brahma Monastery. Each of them radiated calmness and offered us a glimpse into the deep-rooted Tibetan culture and traditions.

We also came across two wonderful cafés — Dear Café and Choten Café — both cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a warm cup of coffee with shopping area. Plenty of local shops are there to buy local stuffs from there.

And that’s how our short yet beautiful one-day trip to #Dhondenling turned into a peaceful escape with #destinationdiarieswithbana— filled with nature, spirituality, and simple joys that will stay with us for a long time. 🌿✨
