From a quiet night ride through Berlin to an intense rhythmic coda, SLEEPLESS unfolds as a long-form arc shaped by tension, motion and release.

The piece emerged from rhythmic structure rather than groove-first writing - yet its deepest impulse came from a personal shift: becoming a father, and the emotional restlessness that followed.

Episode 07 of the 15-part series, this work explores identity and inner movement through asymmetry, polyrhythmic layering and cinematic form.

Composed, arranged, performed and produced in my Berlin studio, SLEEPLESS blends drum set, bass, guitar, subtle synth textures and layered rhythmic design into a narrative trajectory - from restraint to expansion to fragmentation.
At its core, it reflects:
focus, restlessness, release.
