You will find this enchanting botanical garden, with its vibrant colors and diverse plant life, in the heart of Marrakech, Morocco.
It all started in 1923, when Jacques Majorelle, a French artist, emigrated to Marrakech and together with his wife Andrée Longueville. They purchased a four-acre plot, situated on the border of a palm grove.
By 1931, he commissioned architect, Paul Sinoir, to design a Cubist villa and artist studio for the property.
As he grew more successful as an artist, he would purchase even more land, and began planting a captivating garden which became his life's work. He devoted to developing this garden for almost forty years.
