VIOLATION # 1. Demanding payment for more than you owe
A Debt collector cannot misrepresent the amount you owe. [15 USC 1692e] § 807(2)(a)
VIOLATION # 2. Repeat or Continuous Calls
The FDCPA considers repeat calls as harassment. [15 USC 1692d] § 806(5)
VIOLATION # 3. Demanding payment for fees, expenses, or interest that are unlawful
Debt collectors cannot add extra fees to your original credit or loan agreement. [15 USC 1692f] § 808(1)
VIOLATION # 4. Calling before 8:00 am or after 9:00 pm in your time zone.
