The authors are Dr Shahaduz Zaman, Rev Dr Hamilton Inbadas, Dr Alexander Whitelaw and Professor David Clark. All are members of the University of Glasgow End of Life Studies Group, based on the University's Dumfries Campus.

This research is part of the Global Interventions at the End of Life study, funded by the Wellcome trust and led by Professor Clark.
