Just by making use of positive energies alone one cannot progress in life. Both positive and negative energies are aspects of the divine only. One cannot exists without the other.

Even in the ancient Indian epics like Ramayana and Mahabharatha Devas invariably needed the actions of Asuras to bring back Dharma in the society. Because of Ravana’s evil actions, Rama had to wage a battle with him to bring dharma back to its original place. Sri Krishna all through his life had to literally wage battles with Asuras to set the dharma.
