"She would've died": Off-duty officers save woman stabbed 10 times at Chick-fil-A

Описание: A woman who was stabbed approximately 10 times outside a Chick-fil-A in Cherokee County is alive today because two off-duty Acworth police officers happened to be in the right place at the right time.

The violent incident unfolded at the Chick-fil-A on Highway 92 near Interstate 75. Officer Makayla Grimes said she and another off-duty officer were waiting in line when they heard cries for help and found a woman covered in blood. Police say the victim told them her daughter had stabbed her.

Officers quickly used a tourniquet from a duty belt to stop severe bleeding. Authorities say the victim suffered about 10 stab wounds and likely would not have survived without immediate intervention.

Investigators identified the suspect as 21-year-old Shyanniah Ma'Ree Johnson. Authorities say she was later located in Whitfield County after leaving the scene. The victim has since been released from the hospital and is recovering.
