We found an Italian Military base in the Alps. The base was active from 1911 to 1914 near the Italian border. After Caporetto, in 1917, the Italians retreated to the Piave river and destroyed the base.
It was made by several buildings outside and inside the mountain that made the base completely autonomous. We weren't able to visit everything thanks to the overgrown vegetation.
The fort was equipped with 4 149A cannons, 2 75A cannons, 2 Gardner mod. machine guns. 1886 and 4 Perino machine guns mod. 1906.
