Deb's mom has been making this recipe for a long time and we just found out that it's the old Neiman Marcus Cookie Recipe. They always called them Cabin Cookies.

We are giving you the HALF Recipe. The full recipe makes a ton of cookies and it tells you that you probably won't be able to fit it all into one mixing bowl. So we did half recipe that does fit the mixing bowl and makes 80 cookies.

Neiman Marcus $250 Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
3 1/2 cups blended oatmeal (blend to a smaller consistency)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
12 ozs semi sweet chocolate chips
4 oz chopped Hershey candy bar
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
Measure and blend oatmeal in a blender to a fine powder.
Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add chips, candy and nuts. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet (or parchment paper lined). Bake for 6 minutes at 375. Makes 80 cookies. Recipe can be doubled.
