Being a kid in the ’80s was special — but ’80s Christmas was something else. The kind that lived on TV, only showed up once a year, and gave you goosebumps the second you heard the music. You know the one — that movie where Bill Murray almost became a worm buffet before learning the meaning of Christmas? Yep. That feeling is back. So are those holiday specials you recognized instantly, a snowman here, a piano note there, and a black-and-white movie with an angel named Clarence that somehow felt warmer than anything in color.

The TV theme hits and suddenly heroes with muscles and magic swords are saving Christmas, followed by commercial breaks burned into memory — nuggets shaped like happiness, rubbery wrestling figures, one-button video games, dolls that caused chaos, ringing chocolate, coffee that made adults cry, and at least one store you haven’t seen in decades.

There’s a PSA that makes us cry and warms us up at the same time,
a return to games with a mustached plumber, and a familiar holiday movie that was loaded with nostalgia and a Red Rider bee bee gun that always felt like it belonged at the end of any magical Christmas night.

The show closes with two music videos built around ’80s holiday wish book catalogs, with flashes of the Rutland, Vermont, mall in the 1980s.
80s Ben (Smash) also makes a cameo & the music is all original — written by Smash Ventura and performed by Johnny & The Ferraris and Neon Lipstick — new holiday songs that already feel like old favorites.

And at the very end, a long-awaited reunion Smash hopes feels like a gift to you too and a reunion with that special nostalgic 80s kid inside you!
