Jibing is simply turning the boat downwind so that the stern of the boat crosses the wind and the sails come across and get filled on the opposite side. Gybing a spinnaker can be tricky but if you have the right system and just follow the steps it is almost always successful without incident. Here is our technique for jibing (gybing) an asymmetric spinnaker on a catamaran.
