Following Cyclones 'Montha' and 'Senyar', the Bay of Bengal is now facing a new threat: Cyclone 'Ditwa'. This cyclonic storm has formed in the Southwest Bay of Bengal near Sri Lanka, and the Cyclone Warning Centre in Visakhapatnam has issued an alert. The name 'Ditwa' was provided by Yemen, meaning 'Lake' or 'Tranquility'.

The storm is expected to bring widespread rainfall, with possibilities of heavy to very heavy rain in some areas, accompanied by winds reaching up to 50 kmph along the coast. Second danger signals have been hoisted at ports, and fishermen are strictly warned against venturing into the sea.

Orange Alerts have been issued for several districts in Andhra Pradesh:

November 29th: Annamayya, Nellore, Chittoor, and Tirupati districts.

November 30th: Nellore, Annamayya, Chittoor, Prakasham, and YSR Kadapa districts.

Heavy rains are forecasted from November 29th to December 1st. Meanwhile, Telangana is experiencing drastically different conditions, with a significant drop in temperatures and increasing cold weather.
