Bram Bos’ Ruismaker Noir is one of my favourite music making apps for iPad and iPhone. I wanted to be able to use it in a more flexible way that would better lend itself to structured songwriting by utilising midi. This would involve recording midi from noir and then using that midi to trigger noir. Sounds mental, but it’s actually quite simple. Here’s how I did it.
