Carnaby Street, Mick Jagger, The Beatles, Peter Blake, Eduardo Paolozzi. The new realism in film, fashion and art all collided at some time or another at the Robert Fraser Gallery. In 1963 it was the hippest, coolest vortex in the aesthetic crossroads of 'Swinging London'. Fraser's gallery was democratic, welcoming even to a very square academic, but his salon was exclusive which pushed not only the boundaries of human behaviour, sometimes negatively, but was also a mixing pot.
