67th Annual Jeepers Jamboree Virtual Trail Ride

Описание: We grew up on the Rubicon and running the Jeepers Jamboree annually in our jeep was much of a family tradition. It is the model event that Trail Hero tries to emulate in many ways. Come ride along with us and Carbon Off Road as we battle the Rubicon Trail and enjoy the 67th Jeepers Jamboree.

We dive into some of the old school video and how it, and the vehicles, compare to 2020 and the technology of today. Additionally, we pay tribute to the many volunteers and great times at this event, which is the oldest and longest running off-road trail event in the world.

The Rubicon Trail is a roughly 18 mile county road that winds adjacent to Desolation Wilderness, a massive expanse across the amazing Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Starting in Georgetown, California, and ending at Lake Tahoe, the Rubicon Trail is known for it's rugged terrain, amazing views, and incredible access to the best of what nature has to offer.

The Rubicon was originally built as a county road to the Rubicon Spring Hotel, which housed many celebrities in the early 1900's. After the hotel burnt to the ground, the road was established but not maintained for well over 50 years. This lack of maintenance led to the road becoming harder and harder to drive, and eventually being likely one of the most difficult roads to drive in the world. Every year, the challenge of the Rubicon Trail entices thousands of jeepers to test their vehicle and fortitude.

Durring Jeepers Jamboree, the test of the Rubicon is still high, but the hosts make the trail more accommodating and fun for the drivers. Once at the Rubicon Springs, the camping, eating, and hanging out begins - which doesn't end for 4 days!

This show allows people to experience Jeepers Jamboree in a down year where the event was cancelled due to Covid-19. However, once all this clears up, this is an event you will want to ensure you are apart of for years to come.
